LaundryBook policy

Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information LaundryBook collects, why it is used, and how it is protected.

Last updated: 13 July 2026

1. Information we collect

  • Account information such as owner name, email address, phone number, and login metadata.
  • Shop information such as shop name, phone number, address, catalog settings, and plan status.
  • Operational data entered by the shop, including customer names, phone numbers, addresses, orders, garments, dues, payments, notes, and reports.
  • Technical data such as browser, device, IP address, logs, error events, and usage activity needed to operate and secure the service.
  • Payment metadata such as Razorpay order IDs, payment IDs, amount, currency, payment status, and payment method type.

2. Payment information

Payments are processed by Razorpay. LaundryBook does not store full card numbers, CVV, UPI PINs, netbanking passwords, or wallet credentials. Razorpay and the payment networks may process payment information according to their own policies.

3. How we use information

  • To create and manage shop accounts, trials, and paid subscriptions.
  • To provide customer, order, billing, printing, reporting, catalog, and support features.
  • To send useful order-status and payment-related messages to customers through WhatsApp when the shop uses this feature.
  • To verify payments, prevent fraud, maintain audit records, and handle refunds or disputes.
  • To secure the service, debug errors, improve performance, and prevent unauthorized access.
  • To communicate important account, support, payment, and service updates.

4. Sharing and processors

We share information only where needed to provide and secure the service. This may include hosting, database/authentication, payment processing, email delivery, analytics, error monitoring, customer messaging, support tools, legal compliance, or business transfers. Current core providers include Supabase for backend/authentication, Vercel for hosting, Razorpay for payments, and Meta when a shop uses WhatsApp customer updates.

Public marketing pages use Vercel Web Analytics for anonymous, aggregate traffic measurement without third-party cookies. LaundryBook excludes private app, authentication callback, payment, and print routes from this measurement and removes query strings and URL fragments before an event is sent. Form contents, customer records, orders, and payment details are not sent as web analytics events.

5. Shop responsibility for customer data

Laundry shops use LaundryBook to store their own customer and order records. The shop owner is responsible for having the right to enter customer information, keep customer details accurate, and use customer data only for legitimate shop operations.

6. Retention

We keep account, shop, subscription, payment, order, and audit data for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, resolve disputes, prevent abuse, and maintain business records. You may contact support for account or data deletion requests. Some records may need to be retained where required by law or legitimate business needs.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including server-side authorization, shop isolation, HTTPS, and restricted secret handling. No internet service can be guaranteed completely secure, so shop owners should also protect their devices, passwords, and email accounts.

8. Your choices

  • You may update shop and account information inside the app where supported.
  • You may request help correcting, exporting, or deleting account data by contacting support.
  • You may stop using the service at any time, subject to subscription and retention rules.
  • Customers may ask their laundry or dry-cleaning shop to stop non-essential WhatsApp messages.

See the data deletion instructions for the information needed to submit and verify a deletion request.
